General Terms and Conditions

General terms and conditions (Update September 2023)

1: Our details

Electrical Repair Bruges
Velodroomstraat 33
8200 Bruges
BE0870301123

2: General provisions

Our repairs are subject exclusively to these general terms and conditions. Every customer who submits a repair order expressly accepts the following conditions. All oral agreements deviating from this will only be binding if confirmed by us in writing.

3: Repair and delivery times

The delivery and repair times are given for indicative purposes only. Under no circumstances are they binding, but will be applied to the extent of the circumstances. Unless we have agreed in writing, a delay in delivery or execution, regardless of its duration or cause, can never give rise to any compensation, price reduction or suspension of payment.

4: Collection and transport

The goods are transported at the buyer's risk and expense. The repair goods are deemed to have been delivered when the goods leave our workshop. Elektro Repair Brugge is never responsible for damage, loss by postal services, delays or missing pieces upon arrival of the goods at the buyer.

5: Conditions for repairs

Elektro Repair Brugge has the right to request an advance on the payment for a repair. We charge a 50% advance on repairs if the costs for repairs are greater than or equal to €250.00. If a repair may entail high costs, Elektro Repair Brugge may make a quotation, even if the customer has not expressly requested this. A 3-month warranty is given on every repair, if it concerns the same fault as before. Only the invoice for the previous repair applies as proof of guarantee. The customer provides the supporting document himself. The warranty period runs from the date of invoice.

6: Payments and Invoicing

Repairs must always be paid in cash or via PIN, upon collection or before we return the goods after repair. If an invoice is not paid on the due date, the unpaid amount will be increased automatically and without notice of default by a fixed compensation of 20% with a minimum of 50 euros. In addition, interest of 12% per year will be due from the due date. Non-payment gives us the right to immediately terminate all current orders and assignments, without any right to compensation from the buyer, but subject to the condition that we can recover any damage thus suffered from the buyer.
All goods on which repairs have been carried out or are in progress remain the property of Elektro Repair Brugge until the outstanding amount has been paid.

7: Complaints

To be valid, complaints must be addressed to Elektro Repair Brugge IN WRITING and within 8 days of the invoice date, otherwise delivery will be considered as an invoice as well as approved. Under no circumstances can the buyer use any complaint as a pretext to postpone payment of the invoice.

8: Repaired goods

All goods on which repairs have been carried out or are in progress remain the property of Elektro Repair Brugge until the outstanding amount has been paid.
Goods that are not collected by the client within a period of 3 months automatically become the property of the repairer, who can then freely decide on the destination of these goods. Repaired goods that have not been collected two months after repair are entitled to a custody and storage fee of €2.00 per 24 hours.

9: Parts

Parts purchased from Elektro Repair Brugge are either new parts or tested 2nd hand parts. A non-return policy applies to second-hand parts. All parts have a warranty label. If this is broken, it is not possible to return these parts for return.

10: Competent courts

Only the Courts of Bruges have jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.
